Ingredients
Apple Cider Vinegar (100ml)
This makes up the base of the scalp scrub and will help to clarify the scalp.
Granulated Sugar (1tsp)
The sugar will act as the exfoliant, removing build up. It will dissolve in warm water.
Coconut Oil (1tsp)
This is a natural humectant that draws water into the hair and adds a light hold to the gel.
Honey (1tbsp)
This is a natural humectant that draws water into the hair and will soothe and soften the scalp.
Shampoo (1tsp)
This makes the scrub cohesive and acts as a glue, cleansing the scalp with use.
Peppermint Oil (10 drops)
This adds a lovely refreshing scent and stimulates the scalp.
Method
1. In a bowl pour out your Shampoo, Coconut Oil and Honey and stir. 2. Add your Sugar and combine it into a thick paste. 3. Slowly add in Apple Cider Vinegar stirring until you reach a looser texture. 4. Add in your Peppermint Oil to the desired scent. 5. Pour into an air-tight jar and store sterilized bottle and refrigerate immediately.
This should last up to two weeks.
Apply a dollop to slightly wet hair before shampooing. Add a little water and massage for a couple of minutes while distributing from the scalp to the ends of the hairs. Then, rinse thoroughly before applying your regular shampoo. By using the best pre-shampoo, you will notice that you need less of your regular shampoo and that your hair will be softer and more manageable after this treatment.
