Ingredients
Water (56ml)
This makes up the base of the hair gel and helps to hydrate the hair.
Aloe Vera Water (30ml)
Aloe Vera has loads of conditioning properties and can help damaged hair.
Glycerine (5ml)
This is a natural humectant that draws water into the hair and adds a light hold to the gel.
Xanthan Gum (2.5g)
This acts as a thickener for the gel and adds shine to curls.It doesn't flake either.
Acacia Gum (2.5g)
This acts as a secondary thickener for the gel and adds hold and curl elasticity. It doesn't flake either.
Inulin Powder (2g)
This acts as a natural cationic conditioner and a humectant in the gel.
Method
1. Create a double boiler using a pot and a glass bowl. 2. Place the water in the pot and put it boil almost up to the level of the base of the bowl. 3. Put all ingredients in the double boiler over medium to high heat. 4. Whisk the ingredients well. The mixture will thicken within a few minutes. 5. Whisk until the Xanthan Gum or Inulin powder has dissolved. 6. Remove from heat and allow to cool. 7. Pour into a sterilized bottle and refrigerate immediately.
