Sécher ses cheveux peut paraître simple, mais en réalité, ce n'est pas le cas. Le soin apporté à ses cheveux entre le séchage et l'humidité est crucial pour une chevelure en pleine forme. Il y a tant de choses à prendre en compte : quoi utiliser, quand le faire, démêler avant ou après, appliquer ses produits coiffants avant ou après ? Tout comme pour le lavage et le coiffage, la façon dont on sèche ses cheveux peut avoir un impact considérable sur leur apparence, voire leur santé. Je suis là pour vous démystifier tout cela.
Voici 3 méthodes différentes pour sécher vos cheveux avec quelques avantages et inconvénients.
Séchage à l'air
Le séchage à l'air libre est une excellente méthode pour sécher ses cheveux sans utiliser d'accessoires. C'est une excellente méthode pour une définition optimale des boucles. Pour cela, après m'être lavé les cheveux, je commence par les essorer pour éliminer l'eau restante, je froisse mes boucles et j'applique mes produits coiffants. Selon la porosité de mes cheveux, le séchage peut prendre entre 30 minutes et quelques heures. J'aime utiliser mon après-shampoing sans rinçage That Good Hair et monCe bon beurre capillaire pour cheveux.Cela permet d'hydrater et de modeler vos boucles. Le plus dur est d'attendre qu'elles sèchent. Distrayez-vous en faisant quelques courses et en effectuant des tâches ménagères. Une fois sèches, vous pouvez utiliser un peigne afro pour donner du volume aux racines et leur donner du volume.
Pour une définition ultime des boucles, coiffez vos boucles tout en ajoutant vos produits coiffants, puis gardez vos mains hors de vos cheveux pendant qu'ils sèchent.
Séchage avec une serviette
Le séchage à la serviette, ou plopping, consiste à utiliser un t-shirt ou une serviette en microfibre pour sécher vos cheveux après la douche. Commencez par essorer vos cheveux, puis appliquez votre produit sans rinçage et vos produits coiffants. Techniquement, le plopping n'est pas une méthode pour sécher les cheveux, mais je trouve que c'est assez similaire. Posez votre t-shirt ou une serviette en microfibre sur une surface plane, les manches vers vous. Ensuite, retournez votre tête, prenez le pan de tissu derrière votre tête et retournez-le sur votre cou, puis nouez les manches longues du t-shirt (ou le surplus de tissu de votre serviette en microfibre) derrière votre tête. Si j'ai inclus le plopping sous le séchage à la serviette, c'est parce que c'est exactement comme ça que je sèche mes cheveux à la serviette, en utilisant simplement ma serviette en microfibre au lieu d'un t-shirt jusqu'à ce qu'ils soient secs à 70-80 %. Si vous avez les cheveux fins ou des ondulations plus lâches, le plopping peut créer un effet liftant au niveau des racines, puisque vos cheveux sèchent sur le dessus de votre tête plutôt que d'être alourdis.
Si vous n'utilisez pas une surface plane pour attacher vos cheveux, vos boucles s'étireront en séchant. (moins de rétrécissement, ouais !)
Coiffage de nuit
Le diffuseur est une méthode de séchage qui nécessite un sèche-cheveux et un diffuseur. L'avantage du diffuseur est qu'il répartit l'air uniformément sur les cheveux, évitant ainsi de concentrer l'air chaud sur une seule zone, provoquant frisottis et dommages. Utiliser un diffuseur sur cheveux bouclés est un excellent moyen de minimiser les frisottis, de mieux définir les boucles et de créer du volume, contrairement aux autres méthodes. C'est également beaucoup plus rapide grâce à l'utilisation de la chaleur directe. Commencez par essorer vos cheveux, puis appliquez votre produit sans rinçage et vos produits coiffants. Renversez la tête, prenez une mèche de cheveux et placez-la dans le diffuseur. Approchez le diffuseur du cuir chevelu et, une fois en place, allumez le sèche-cheveux à basse vitesse et à température moyenne-faible pendant environ 30 secondes, puis répétez l'opération sur toute la chevelure.
Une fois vos cheveux secs à environ 80 %, arrêtez le diffuseur et ajoutez des pinces racines pour plus de volume. Laissez ensuite sécher vos cheveux à l'air libre jusqu'à 100 %.

I was approached in Westfield Shopping centre as I have curly hair and was told the product would be perfect for my type of hair. I have been looking for something that would be light enough not to weigh my hair down but give it the moisture it needs. I was super excited to use the mist but unfortunately it just dried my hair out. It was very light on my hair but didn’t enhance the curl pattern any more than what it was. I am very disappointed with the product especially for the price. I have to use it with my original hair product for it not to dry my hair out. I would not purchase again,

I love this bonnet! 1) I've become a restless sleeper so I toss and turn quite a bit and this does not come off.
